The 22nd of December 2007 was
a turning point for the Kismayo
University. Large
number of student community, the
teaching staff and university’s well
wishers have turned in big numbers at
the university main campus which is 5 km
from the town centre. This was the last
Eidul Adha days whereby students
organized a “Cultural day” under the
slogan “Education is key for
development” the aim of this
inauguration was to celebrate for the
Eidul Adha and to display different
talents .
 The
students ware given a chance to render
any oral poetry and display of attires
that are reflective of their own
historical heritage.
The day has seen the unfolding many
important events which included inter
years sport competition, the trial and
errors game of pots breaking where one
has to try his or her luck depending on
the content of the different pots and
drama which has tickled the rib cage of
the viewers.
The day has ceremoniously ended with the
closing speech of the acting university
